Cleveland College of Art will be changing its name to The Northern School of Art

We are The Northern School of Art – and soon it will be official!

We are delighted to announce that the Secretary of State for Education has agreed to this becoming our new name – so from September 2018 we will become…..

…The Northern School of Art

Over the coming months we will be making changes to our brand identity and talking to our partners about this change – but for now we are celebrating!

Our application to change our name was based on demonstrating our pre-eminence in art and design education in the North and our status as one of the few remaining specialist art schools in the country.  This further recognition of the quality we offer students comes less than a year after we received our Gold rating in the government’s Teaching Excellence Framework.

We also think that this is great news for the north and the Tees Valley in the year of the Great Exhibition of the North it is wonderful that the strength of training for the creative and cultural sector offered has been so endorsed.
