Huge congratulations to BA (Hons) Photography student Debbie Todd, from Stanley, County Durham, who has been shortlisted for the the British Photography Awards 2021

Who or what inspired you to take up photography?

An interest in faces and I love of fine art and creating something different from the norm.

What’s your go-to kit at the moment?

Still Nikon but nothing flash. Currently studying so lucky to be able to borrow some nice gear from Uni.

What is your favourite type of photography?

Portraits, usually with some added creative element and also fascinated with still life and documentary.
