Since leaving the Northern School of Art, Charly Mupenga has opened his own painting studio to focus on and refine his practice. He continues to create large-scale murals and marble-effect pieces for private clients while regularly participating in art projects and competitions.

Charly Mupenga has been drawing since childhood and views drawing as a language that allows him to express himself without words. He draws inspiration from his life experiences and themes such as resilience, survival, and questioning the world around him. Through his art, he aims to remind people that—even after facing adversity—it is possible to transform, grow, and give new meaning to one’s life.
