STUDENTS AND STAFF SHOW OFF THEIR JOLLY JUMPERS FOR CHARITY

Staff and students at a north east arts college are feeling festive and showing off their best jolly jumpers, all in the name of charity.

The further education students at The Northern School of Art in Middlesbrough joined lecturers in dressing in their most seasonal sweaters for the Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.

The campaign aims to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save The Children. From helping those affected by crises, to granting wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions, to funding nurses so those with cancer get the care they need, Text Santa gives hope to families in the UK and overseas.

Supporting the campaign for the third year and doing their bit in a Christmas knit, the specialist arts college hopes to donate as much as they possibly can to help these much-loved charities.

Teresa Latcham, Student Services Manager at CCAD, said: “This time of year it is important to think of those who are less fortunate, and both staff and students enjoy dressing up in their festive finery, which is now a part of the festive build-up. It is always good to see the great range of jumpers on show all in a good cause!”
