Remake a Take – Great Exhibition of the North

by The Northern | Aug 3, 2018 | Latest News

2 min read

The North and the North East is, as we know, stunning. The landscapes, rolling hills, city architecture and beaches (plus so much more) have inspired generations of audience and filmmakers and will no doubt continue to do so. From Blade Runner to Atonement the hit blockbusters shot around us are endless and we are so proud of this. Remake a Take is an interactive FREE film event/exhibition produced by Gateshead based creative industries development agency Northern Film & Media.

The event will give visitors to the Great Exhibition of the North 2018 a whole host of playful opportunities to celebrate Northern film and television culture across a range of hands-on activities, screenings and discover where all your favourite Northern film and television programmes were shot whilst having opportunities to have a go at remaking a classic amongst these wonderful surroundings. The Remake a Take movie trail tasks punters to hunt out a series of interactive film stills featuring scenes from the likes of Get Carter, Billy Elliot and 24 Hour Party People. This wonderful event started back in June and will run until the 9th September so try and get down over the summer!
