As you may be aware, Sir Ridley Scott mentioned Hartlepool Art College in his BAFTA speech and shared his admiration for teachers. The speech has been met with massive support from CCAD students, graduates, local residents of Hartlepool who all enjoyed the mention and most importantly teachers all over the country rejoiced that their often overworked profession received support publicly. We were also delighted to find out (via twitter) that one of the teachers who had such a profound effect on Sir Ridley was a gentleman named Walter Parker. Staff have changed since the 1950s and our staff data did not go back to this time, so we are delighted we can share this with you.
