You know those special organic, publications, where the pages smell like dewy woodland and the shiny ink appears fresh? The magazines that are ran by a small team of artists, photographers, writers, graphic designers and always always produces impeccable content? They make us champion the belief that print is certainly not dead.

The market for indie mags is massive and ever growing. It’s been said that no matter how good and ‘glare-free’ our Kindles are; we will always prefer to turn an actual page.
For our love of print, we wanted to share with you some favourite independent magazines which will massively upgrade your bookshelf and enhance your creative awareness.

Kinfolk
In a consumerist heavy society, the quarterly published, Kinfolk provides respite. Starting out as a fan-zine dedicated to the street style of punk-era London in 1980, i-D is without a doubt the coolest magazine on the shelves. With the wink identity on each cover in the with the name (i-D is a sideways emoji wink!) and the stars that grace each and every cover, i-D has gone from strength to strength since the pre-digital days of cut and paste.
