LYNN STREET DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

We are delighted to report that we have successful secured a further planning permission for the plans for our new premises on Lynn Street, Hartlepool.

We have a very positive relationship with the planning department within Hartlepool Borough Council and have worked together to secure a planning permission that works well for the project delivery as well as being the first step in the realisation of HBC’s ‘2020 Vision’ and the regeneration of the area.

The facilities will offer new and improved studio space for some of the courses in our schools of visual arts and design – we’re retaining existing sites in Church Square and remodelling the original 1960s art college building. The new facility provides us to offer more of the quality work spaces our students cherish and value including individual workbays.

We are working with project managers Turner Townsend, architects Howarth Litchfield Partnership and building contractors Esh Group on the new build and works are due to begin February 2016.
