MELISSA SCOTT

Textiles and Surface Design graduate Melissa Scott has been selected as one of the 2015 graduates to sell work through The Graduate Collection.

The Graduate Collection is a homewares company producing wallpapers, ceramics and cushions by a new generation of designers.

Melissa uses imagery to produce innovative and visually stimulating wallpaper designs. She evokes a graphic contemporary take on a classic Burlesque theme while maintaining an essence of glamour and sophistication.

Her combination of hand painting and digital illustration,  inspired by Subculture, Burlesque, Pop Art and the way the female form is celebrated through performance and costume is incredibly unique. Melissa is passionate about creating talking points through design and feels wallpaper should be as unique and interesting as the individual.

Through our textiles and surface design degree, Melissa has successfully exhibited her interior designs at shows in Paris, Belgium, New York and London.
